You, O Queen..." A OUAT-inspired Regina/Evil Queen Set

Image

Hello again, everyone! I've finally got around to posting this set. Anyone who lurks around the "work in progress" thread here at PBK knows I've been spamming it with Regina pictures like nobody's business, but I finally got my Fraps screen-capping act together to upload the first part of a two-part set: the fabulous enchanted wardrobe of the Evil Queen herself from the ABC TV series of Once Upon A Time. I adore Regina, because she's such a complex and sympathetic character at the same time as being a sassy snark-queen with gowns to die for... :sov:

This is a joint set with the gorgeous, incredibly patient and kind Celestial Spider. She made the gorgeous Evil Queen gown mesh for the darkly glamorous outfits below, with a fantastic alpha-editable over skirt and collar! I've included the file in my 'Meshes' folder, with her base colours (very helpful for all you recolour people out there for figuring out what goes where.) She is one of my favourite meshing wizards here at the Keep. :wizz:

Okay, on to the outfits!

Regina's Riding Outfit:

Image

Image

This is Regina's first outfit when we see her as a young, innocent girl, pre-dark plum lipstick and tragic backstory. I've checked this outfit on Dragonslave's object horses, and it looks pretty good for riding through the countryside! I went for a relatively simple mesh - one of Cocomama's default base game velvet jackets with riding boots added. Included in the mesh package.

Regina's Blue "Proposal" Gown

Image

Image

I was talking to the lovely StephSim about this dress recently. She'd very kindly used the blue recolour of my Belle gown on her Regina Sim - but we can't have Regina borrowing stuff! So I made a new blue gown for her with silver trim on Celestial Spider's mesh, minus the collar. Still very innocent and girlish...

Regina's Ornate Wedding Gown

Image

Image

Probably one of my favourite dresses for Regina, although from a pretty heartbreaking scene! I won't spoil it for anyone, but it's a turning point for Regina between hero and villain. The mesh used here is heget's 18th century court gown mesh, included in the mesh folder. Appropriately regal!

Regina's Apple Gown

Image

Image

A pretty iconic look for Regina here! and thanks to Sunni and Frac's apple trees, Regina can now offer apples to any Snow Whites of her choosing in this! My first use of Celestial Spider's mesh with the collar. This would also be a pretty nice look for vampire ladies as well as dark witch queens.

Regina's "Lost Girl" Gown

Image

Image

This one is named after the episode you first see it in during Season 3 - and you can see why the fans remember it, it's a lovely outfit! I especially like the raven-feather collar. Another use of CelestialSpider's versatile custom mesh.

Regina's Silver Nightgown:

Image

Image

Something a little more casual for a queen to slip into. I'm not entirely sure if it's a nightgown in the series; Regina tends to wear it as the fairytale version of sweatpants and a t-shirt, but I thought she could probably use this as PJs, no problem.

This is the only mesh that isn't included in the package

It's on Aligeth's "chemise" mesh, which you can grab over at MTS here

Enjoy, everyone! I've double-checked that the meshes included do work, and they're filed separately in a "Meshes" folder for ease of organising.

Sims 3t2 Conversion : Happily Ever After Humble Gowns.

Hi guys!
I'm way, way behind with my backlog of goodies to share over at Plum Bob Keep. (Oops. Just moved), But all that pent-up energy had to find an outlet somewhere - here's the result of a week in a new flat with no internet!

Image

I finally figured out how to do conversions for Teens and Elders, so they aren't left out whilst my female adults are prancing around in all their converted best! This is the Humble Gown from the Sims 3 Store 'Happily Ever After Set'. I have much more to come from that set for ladies!

As I had plenty of time on my hands, I've done four recolours for each set. I thought this would be a nice period replacement for witches rather than the 'Halloween Fun' dress-up outfits EA gave us, so I did one in Blue and One in dark black and purple for your good and evil sorceresses respectively. I then did a 'vaguely Spanish' recolour in red and black because the outfit style vaguely reminded me of Carmen. You can see the recolours here below:

And finally, you can download the set here

Enjoy!

Amelie's First Conversion! Sims 3 Palace of Versailles Set

Hello again people! The above meshes are why you've seen so little of me  for a while. I've been wrangling MilkShape and SimPE to produce my first ever Sims 3 to 2 conversions - following Serenity-Fall's excellent clothing conversion tutorial, cursing when it went wrong/exploded, trying again... So far, this is the best I can do.

(They're far from perfect - there's some grey shadows I don't seem to be able to get rid of - so if anyone wants to improve/shoeswap, mess with the meshes I've made, please feel free!)

Anyhow, on to the gowns...

Image

I love these gowns, and I've wanted conversions of them forever - but I'm not actually sure why, as they're not actually very 18th century. They're more a high-school play version of what people vaguely think 18th century is. Ribbons? Check. Goofy ribbons and roses absolutely EVERYWHERE? Check and check. But I've converted them now, so my "Mean Girl" 18th century ladies can wear them.

Image
"Mon Dieu, Reinette, that gown is so fetch!"

First off, my favourite, if only for its potential:

Country Palace Gown

Image

Image

This is... well, it ain't 18th century, what with the puffy sleeves. But it does look pretty darn close to a 17th century "Three Musketeers/Cavalier" style gown, and there certainly isn't enough clothing for Simmies there. Converted for the recolour possibilities. Comes with fat and pregnancy morphs. Categorised as Casual and Formal.

Latest Fashion Frock

Image

Image

I call this one the Candyfloss dress, because it's so sugary-sweet. I'm also oddly addicted to sticking my Sims in it for portraits...Comes with fat and pregnancy morphs, categorised as Casual and Formal. I didn't convert it with the ribbon necklace, as VampireKiss6661 has made a gorgeous version of this as an accessory here:http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=239

Morning in the Garden Frock

Image

Image

Probably my favourite, although the skirts seriously pain me. The EA guys went to all the trouble to do a sack-back 18th century dress, and then made it straight up and straight down like a cheap fancy-dress costume. Bleh. :uhoh:
I did discover it looks lovely as an 18th century dressing gown for my ladies to have breakfast in, so I've categorised this one as Nightwear as well as Casual and Formal. Again, come with fat and pregnancy morphs.

I've only done one texture per mesh, as I didn't feel up to making a zillion recolours. But the meshes are there for people to play with! Feel free to edit, recolour and use away :P

Credit goes to the awesome SerenityFall over at Livejournal for the tutorial, and the very helpful davinaojoeda here at PBK for advice and support through meshing fails.

You can download the gowns here

Enjoy!

Into the Woods...

Image
My latest contribution from over at the Plumb Bob Keep - the gift of more Once Upon a Time themed stuff! Recently over at Garden of Shadows there's been a flurry of Sims 3 conversions for their Valentines February theme. One of my favourites was this new gorgeous jacket done by Pudding! It looks good with pants or breeches, as you can see.

The absolutely amazing Celestial Spider over at PBK is working on a gorgeous mesh for the hunting habits you see in Once Upon a Time, but as a stop gap, here are some suitably coloured skirts, breeches and tops with some bonus Regina accessories.

First off, some reference pictures from the show! I think everyone lusts after this gorgeous green habit Regina has (pre-Evil Queen)...

ImageImage
I love the fabrics used, and the colour scheme! And in addition to this, Snow white has something a trifle similar...

Image

If you a really raving mad OUAT costume fan (like me), you might even remember Princess Abigail's gorgeous red and gold riding habit from season 1:

Image

In addition to this, I did a version in black, for post Evil-Queen style. I refuse to believe Regina wouldn't have this gorgeous outfit made up in black.

Image

It comes with both matching skirts on Skell's medieval skirt mesh, and two hastily recoloured "breeches" from Migamoo's booted leggings mesh.

Image

All meshes are included, by the gracious terms of use of their owners. Grab them here:

I also noticed a superb hair and face make-up combo over at MTS by alexasrosa, on a fantastic set known as "The Furies". The Alecto stuff is almost perfect for Regina!

Image
Whilst I've tweaked the face make-up to provide the lace cowl thing Regina wears as Evil Queen, the only thing I've done with the hair is change it from purple to black. Basic recolour so nothing fancy, texture credit entirely to alexasrosa. All meshes included.

A little bit of Makin' Magic

Okay, as soon as I saw the latest Conversion theme over at GOS, I HAD to do something for it - I've been on a retro gaming kick at the moment, and Makin' Magic was one of my favourite Sims 1 games as it had gorgeous Victorian stuff. It always reminded me of Anne of Green Gables...

Remember the pastel  Edwardian dresses? They were in slightly different colours for each skin tone, but you could only wear one - Sims 2 and an infinite capability for recolours means an end to such shameful  wardrobe segregation. Recolours for all!

First off, the original Makin' Magic pastel colours - cream, pink and blue, as worn by umpteen Sims wandering around Magic Town.

I've also added a little extra - a leafy green, a nice lilac purple, and a white, for those Edwardian brides who want to get married properly...

And finally, the last two recolours in black and grey, for any Sims wishing to go into mourning. I think I had Cornelia Goth pretty heavily in mind when I did the darker recolours... Cool

This comes in FA and FT, as Skell did a fantastic age conversion for teens, and can be found in everyday - although they're also placed in formal for teens. All meshes are included as per their creator's generous terms of use.

Devil's in the Details - Credits

Mesh credits - YanderePlumSim for the original FA mesh
Skell for the teen conversion mesh.
Texture credits - Yandere and Skell. I just mucked about with stripe and lace textures a bit...

Go grab them over at GOS here...

"She Really Is a Funny Girl, That Belle" - OUAT-inspired outfits

Image

Long time, no see, fellow bloggers! I've got about a bazillion projects on the go at the moment I need to post sometime here, but this is probably one of my favourites.
I recently got into the ABC TV series Once Upon a Time, and since there are some awesome creators making stuff from the show already over at the Plumb Bob Keep  (StephSim and VampireKiss  I'm looking at you! :D), I figured I'd contribute my bit, with some clothes for Belle, as played by the lovely Emilie de Ravin. These are all the most memorable 'Enchanted Forest' clothes I could find ( I didn't bother with her strange mini-dresses from Storybrooke)

Image

Okay, onto the close-ups dress by dress:

Belle's Blue Dress:
Image

Image

Uses Skell's lovely "Vintage Prom Dress" mesh. I used some of her textures on the skirts to make sure it draped right. Probably one of Belle's most iconic looks, along with

Belle's Yellow Dress:
Image

Image

This uses the same "Vintage Prom Dress" mesh. I made recolours for this in blue, pink, white and lilac as a nice alternate ballgown for other fairytale princesses.
But that's enough fairytale whimsy - what about the more kick-ass outfits for Belle?

Belle's Huntress Outfit:
Image

Image
I've done a variety of recolours in black, dark red, green, blue, and dark purple for this. The mesh used is antka's This Old Armor Dress with Yuxi's boots shoeswapped onto it, which I've turned into tunic and hose! (I had the fantastically creative Winter in mind, as she has a lot of lovely strong medieval women happy to get out there and adventure) The gloves are separate accessory recolours on Skell's "Naughty But Nice" Advent gift mesh.

And (erm, my least favourite, but the costume designers on OUAT made it, so... *shrugs*)

Belle's "Pantomime Pageboy" outfit:
Image

Image
They're separates - a recolour of Migamoo's booted pant set, and the Maxis cardigan top recolour. Didn't make any recolours for this, as I dislike this one too much)

Belle's Purple Dress:
Image

Image
I think this is a season 3 or 4 OUAT outfit, and as such hasn't got too much love from the fans, but I saw it right away and loved it to pieces! This is a top and a skirt - the skirt a recolour of YanderePlumSim's lovely Secret Santa gift to Skell this year, and the top a recolour of Hysterical Paroxysm's untuckable top over at MTS. I also made recolours of the top to match with YanderePlumSim's original range of skirts, so your Sims can have quirky dresses in a whole range of colours if you've already got her skirts!

But wait - what about accessories, I hear you say? Where are the cloaks?

Belle's Green Hooded Cloak

Belle's Red Jacquard Cloak:

Based on Cynnix's Caped Cloak mesh.

Meshes:

All meshes are included with gracious permission from their generous creators apart from the Skell gloves for Belle's Huntress outfit (I forgot about them, oops) but you can find them easily on her Tumblr.
